I think it is no secret to anyone that often technical literature is very abstruse and, as a result, boring. When I was studying at the university, I rarely, when I could not fall asleep, took a book thicker and clever and within 10-15 minutes of reading I fell asleep easily. For this reason, when Nikolai Matsievsky asked me to illustrate a new book with funny pictures, I was very enthusiastic about the idea. In addition, it is not always possible to draw about 60 illustrations for a book.

The first task that you have to face when creating an illustration is choosing an idea. Search plot. However, when an illustration is not one, it is desirable to have a little bit of a schematic plan of these plots (so that at least they can not be forgotten). Such a scenario plan, in addition, makes it easier to carry on a conversation with the customer and keep records of ready-made illustrations.


For the section “3.2. Optimizing JPEG ”it was decided to somehow portray that a large, complex object fits into a compact frame. In search of an idea, I came across a successful picture, from which I began to dance.
