Often there is a task to show different information to different website visitors. At a minimum, you can separate those who come to the website for the first time from regular visitors. Say for Wordpress a similar task is performed by the plugin
“What Seth Godin would do” , which shows an offer to subscribe to RSS during the first five visits to the blog.
How to make something more universal that you can quickly apply to any website?

Our website contains HTML documentation for all programs. It is convenient for someone to read it in this form, and the main task is to attract visitors from search engines. The only problem is that search visitors do not stay long on the website. Having found the answer to their question, they quickly leave, without even remembering which product site they visited.
To convert such visitors, a script was written that separates external visitors from internal ones and shows the first tempting offer to download something. The plug-n-play script can be added to any page as simply as possible. The idea of displaying the message at the top of the window was borrowed from stackoverflow.com.
How can you see it in action. Let's say there
is such a page . Going to it via this link you will see a tempting offer to download the world's best ASP code generator. If you get into it in the process of wandering around the site - the upper message will not be visible.

Download the script
here . Connects with two lines of code. If you use jQuery already, you can omit the first line.
In the script, change the texts / links and use on health.
