Pirates in the European Parliament has become two times more! ;)

Having earned more than 7 percent of the vote, the Pirate Party of Sweden received its first chair in the European Parliament as early as June, at the same time the hope was born of receiving a second, if the Lisbon agreement was approved. And it happened! The agreement was approved on November 3 by the President of the Czech Republic Vaclav Klaus, who signed it last.

After the recognition of the Lisbon Agreement by all EU countries, the Pirate Party of Sweden received a second chair in the European Parliament, it will take 22 year old Amelia Andersdotter, who will become the youngest member of the European Parliament. In order to pay more attention to her political career, she decided to abandon her studies at the university, majoring in Economics and Spanish. Despite the fact that it will focus on the struggle for a more friendly copyright, she will also spend time discussing educational reforms, as well as a deeper knowledge of the European economy. Amelia will officially take her seat in Brussels on the first of December, where her colleague Christian Engstrom is already waiting for her. There is enough work for both, since the "copywriting" is not asleep.
