Google Web History Censures

The Web History service , quietly introduced by Google at the end of March, has been criticized by opponents of the invasion of privacy. This, we recall, happened before (for example, the perusal of mail in Gmail was not to the liking of many).

The very idea of the service is not bad - Web History allows you to store data about a user’s visiting a web page on a Google server, allowing you to quickly return to the desired page. This service is purely voluntary and disabled by default, but the Electronic Privacy Information Center organization, along with the two who joined it, filed a complaint with the US Federal Trade Commission demanding to investigate Web History in more detail.

According to zealous privacy advocates, Google doesn’t bring to the attention of users the fact that Web History is making some kind of observation, and most web surfers have no idea that they are being watched by “someone who’s cunning and big”.
