Previously, when I was small, and the trees were big, I was more or less like what software to use on my computer. We downloaded cracks, keygens and other vermin, which was checked by pirated antivirus, shat in a freshly installed pirated Windows, which was replaced by a freshly installed pirated Windows.
However, then (perhaps under the influence of anti-piracy policy, perhaps due to a change in moral standards), it became unpleasant to use unpaid or hacked software. And even to some extent uninteresting. The home computer was successfully transferred to Linux, the laptop was preferred by Vista, and the new workstation was chosen by W7 (trial free version).
All work on changing and creating documents and multimedia began to be carried out only on legal software (such as OO.org, VirtualDub, Paint.NET, etc.). It was all good and convenient for me, but it caused a lot of problems for my parents, who were not very good at computers and it was difficult to master new software.
However, I still got my way, now almost all the people in my circle of contacts use the same OOo, and I so strongly hooked two friends on Linux that now they are surprised to see those who continue to use something else.

Immediately make a reservation: everything that is written above is not coercion or a reason for holivars, to whose lovers I do not attribute myself.
Paid software does not cause me any negative emotions, except for two: sometimes it is unreasonably expensive and it can be difficult to pay for it in Russia. These two points, however, are quite enough to use free analogues and live happily ever after. I really like to know that I have no problems with licensing programs. You can sleep well and not be tormented by conscience :)
