Recently, my FF3 has stopped updating. That is, the check for the latest version is successful, the update is downloaded, installed and asks for a reboot. But after a reboot, the following message appears - “The update could not be installed. Please make sure that you’re running to your computer. ”
Forcing unloading of firefox.exe, an attempt to start FF immediately after loading Win didn’t lead to anything. It only helped downloading the latest distribution of FF and installing it over the existing one. But today I decided to figure it out.
KAV8 was to blame for everything, which a few months ago was firmly established in my car. I did not penetrate into the mechanism of its countering, but it was enough to turn off the protection and the FF update was successfully rolled.
Here I sit now and think - maybe a beast sits in my fox, which Casper cannot catch normally and is trying to fight in this way? ..
