Evaluation of coursework in IT disciplines

Students acquire a certain part of practical skills in the course of their coursework (projects). In the process of performing a specific task “from beginning to end,” the necessary in real life “cones” are collected. On the correct implementation and design of coursework written piles of manuals, which, unfortunately, rarely read on time. And when defending a term paper, the teacher also needs to comprehensively evaluate the work done by the student, so that “everyone gets his own business.”
During the semester of teaching the discipline "DBMS MS SQL Server" I have developed certain criteria for the evaluation of student projects, which I want to share with respected habrizhiteley. Despite the fact that these criteria are tied to a certain discipline and take into account its features, I believe that they will be of interest to teachers (the creation of a similar assessment system), students (understand how they will evaluate your work), as well as developers and managers who carry out program evaluation. projects.

For evaluation, an A4 sheet (check list) is used, divided into two parts: the approval and defense of the course project:

The first part is not particularly interesting, but necessary - it reflects the formal criteria for the admission of the course project to the defense.
The second part is divided into two columns: "positive aspects" and "shortcomings". Each assessment is associated with a corresponding set of criteria. The resulting score is determined by the aggregate marks put. Naturally, some not very serious (random) shortcomings will not affect the student's assessment.
As a result, both sides of the educational process benefit: it is easier for the teacher to evaluate the student’s work, and the student knows what will be asked of him and what he has “gained”.

This checklist was successfully tested, showed its usefulness and was adopted :)

It is clear that to cover all the nuances at once is difficult - maybe something is missing, but something has been given excessive importance, so I am waiting for your comments for further work in this direction.
