Rambler implemented a new service - “Are they looking for you?”. It is part of the search functionality for people opened by the portal in February 2007. A new opportunity can be used by those who have
mail on the "Rambler", since the search is conducted by the name to which the mail is registered.
The service “Are you looking for you?” Appeared as a result of the partnership between Rambler and “VID” TV company. Previously, as noted, the portal also launched a search for people (the People tab in the search box). You can search in it by first name, last name and patronymic, as well as by individual keywords (for example, only by first name or only by patronymic name). According to the company, information about the lost is taken from the base of the national service of mutual search for people
"Wait for me .
"
“The first months of cooperation with Rambler are encouraging,” says Sergey Kushnerev, the chief editor of the VID television company. According to him, the search speed doubled, and people began to be every 20 minutes. He noted that during the first week of April 582 people found each other. For reference: the audience of the program “Wait for me”, which goes on television prime time, ranges from 20 to 50 million people around the world.
