Oracle has published new information regarding support for MySQL, NetBeans, GlassFish, SOA, OpenOffice, open source development.

What are Oracle's plans for MySQL?
Oracle plans to spend more money developing MySQL than Sun does now. Oracle MySQL database after the transaction closes. Oracle plans to add MySQL to Oracle's existing suite of database products, which already includes Berkeley DB, an open source database. They are planning to develop both hardware solutions (Oracle is interested in providing the entire stack of enterprise solutions) and software solutions (Promised to help develop Glassfish and add features from WebLogic.
