
At the exhibition "Interpolitech-2009" a pilot copy of the Russian
huge fighting
humanoid robot "MRK-27 - BT" was demonstrated. The machine was developed at MSTU named after Bauman and can attack infantry, enemy fortifications and armored vehicles.
The robot is built on a tracked chassis armed with two Bumblebee flamethrowers, a Pecheneg machine gun, two grenade launchers and six smoke grenades. All weapons are easily removed, in addition, the soldiers will be able to install weapons on the robot owl instead of the staff without additional modifications.
According to the developers of the “MRK-27 - BT”, it is more mobile and more stable than foreign analogues, in particular, the American SWORDS robots.

The robot is controlled remotely using two joysticks. In this case, the operator may be located at a distance of up to 500 meters from the combat zone. Built-in cameras transmit the image to two monitors.
While the robot exists in one copy. There are no orders for a new system, the mass production of the “MRK-27 - BT” and it is still unknown when it will start.
