Another bonus to lucky ones with wavesandbox.com accounts

It took 12 days after receiving an invitation from Google to Google Wave Developer Sandbox and filling out the appropriate form with me (who cares, it looked like this: wave.google.com/signups/signup1.html ). While waiting for an activated account, I managed to get an invite to the Google Wave Preview, everything was studied there and I had plenty of fun. Therefore, today, when I finally got my hands on an activated account in wavesandbox, I didn’t rush headlong through the Waves, but I wondered what would give me a new one.

Looking around at the empty contact list, I clicked the “Manage Contacts” link. I was presented with a standard contact editor, which any Gmail and Google Apps user has. And here I confirmed my long-time guess (based on the sandbox URL form) that for the wavesandbox.com domain, a special edition of Google Apps with Wave enabled was activated.
Here you can make a couple of conclusions:
  1. After the release of Waves in free navigation, anyone can turn on their server in Google Apps on their domain in a couple of mouse clicks.
  2. Together with an account in Wave Sandbox, we got access to Gmail, Calendar and Docs on the domain wavesandbox.com

And if the first is quite logical and expected, it is not entirely clear what can be obtained from the second. However, I immediately remembered that for the Premier & Edu editions of Google services, the ability to perform javascript in Google Documents was added ( Google Apps script: custom scripts in Google Apps , Google Apps earned scripts ). I remember then I was very upset that I would not be able to touch this opportunity in my Basic Service release. First of all, therefore, I went to the Spreadsheets. And here it is the cherished Scripts item in the Tools menu:
