In one of the Kaliningrad museums you can see a picture where Kant lectures to Russian officers. Not for philosophy, but for fortification or pyrotechnics. The artist saved the event, but the text of the lectures is unknown to us.

And what did Euler St. Petersburg students teach? What did Pavlov talk about in his classes? How did you listen to lectures of Mechnikov at the University of Odessa, and Landau at the Kharkov?

However, in order to film on film in 1964-1977, Kolmogorov’s public lectures in the MSU assembly hall did not require supernatural capabilities. Alas! UniverTV.ru is a collection of video lectures from the best Russian and foreign universities. Today, the site has more than 3,600 videos on psychology, history, philosophy, biology, physics and other sciences. In addition, the site can be seen educational documentary and popular science films that will be of interest to all the curious.

The videos are accompanied by a detailed description, some - by slides and transcripts synchronized with the video sequence. Some foreign materials have been translated into Russian. All materials are free!



How do we do it?
- remove lectures in leading Russian universities;
- we give links to educational videos on the Internet and place on our portal a video that you send;
- we translate interesting foreign videos.

Why is all this necessary?
A portal exists to:
- to preserve the cultural heritage, traditions and high quality of Russian education;
- make available new forms of learning (distance, asynchronous, continuous);
- strengthen cultural ties and assist in obtaining education for Russian-speaking citizens abroad (especially in the countries of the former USSR);
- to compensate for the brain drain from Russia.

Who helped us with the development of the site?

What are your development plans?
- survey, search on the Internet and translation of new lectures for all sections of the portal, first of all for the sections “Psychology”, “Philology”, “Biology”, “Philosophy” and “Art”;
- creation of the “School” section and placement of video lessons of outstanding teachers on the most difficult topics of the school curriculum;
- Shooting lecture halls in Russian museums.
