Google Reader has become more social

Today I noticed that the interface of the RSS reader from Google has changed somewhat. A large block of recommended blogs that previously occupied the upper right corner has disappeared. These feeds have moved to the new Explore menu. Now they can be rolled up and they will not be an eyesore.



But! Something more interesting has appeared! New feed Popular Items , it adds entries from blogs that collected the largest number of votes of users GReader'a. Voting is done with the Like button. The recordings are only from the English-speaking Internet, either because of the fact that my interface is English, or because these records are really the most popular in the entire Internet. Although, I do not think that Chinese or Hispanic bloggers are so less popular.

It was always interesting to know what the western blogosphere lives. Now it is easy and easy to monitor. I was surprised to find that much of what interested them there the day before yesterday came to us only today.
