I'm pissed off by people using the word "efficiency"

If you look at the “Learn to Work” blog, you can be sure that the words “effective” and “efficiency” are found there in every first paragraph. Meanwhile, over the meaning of the word "effective" speakers prefer not to think.

Yandex.Dictionaries , as well as the usual logic, suggest something like the following:
EFFICIENCY is one of the most common economic concepts, which so far does not seem to have a single universally accepted definition. In our opinion, this is one of the possible (most important, but not the only!) Characteristics of the quality of a certain system, in particular, an economic one, namely, its characteristics in terms of the ratio of costs and results of the functioning of the system. Depending on what costs and especially - what results are taken into account, we can talk about economic, socio-economic, institutional, social, environmental E. However, the boundaries between these concepts are vague and there are active discussions around them.

In short, efficiency == optimality in a sense. The word "effective" in itself makes sense ONLY when specifying exactly which objective function is optimized. The use of this word without a context indicates that the author simply uses the buzzword to give his concept more weight, and nothing more. Of course, if he is not about physics or mat. the statistics says).
