Hi, habra people! Today I want to tell you about the service, which I have been working with for a long time with my friends, but there was no good reason to talk about it here. Our project is called
TimePad , and a good reason is our participation in the RIW Innovation Alley and plans to make RIW more fun :)
But about everything in order.
')
What is TimePad and who needs it?
Our mission: "We help make events better, and their organization is easier." At the moment, TimePad can:
- Create event pages
- Organize the registration process for events
- Collect and store email addresses of all who may be interested in the event
- Send invitations and announcements
It seems that there is nothing super-new in this, and there are quite a few services that cope with each of these tasks better than us. But our main feature is not in the tricky functional, but in its refinement for specific tasks (organization of events). The second, no less important feature is clarity and ease of use for any Ksyusha and any Anatoly Prokofyevich, who are involved in organizing events and are not very familiar with the Internet.
We do not set a goal to satisfy the needs of absolutely everyone. Sites, one way or another working with events, appear almost every month and competing with everyone is a rather unpromising occupation. In our developments, we focus on professional event organizers - those who conduct public lectures, seminars, trainings, conferences, and who do it all the time.
At first impressions, this approach is justified. Now the system is used by about 150 organizations that work with almost 30,000 audiences. And this is just the beginning.
Why do we take it?
Someone may have a question (especially looking at our faces in the “Team” section): “And who are we at all to decide what is convenient for the organizers and what is not?”. The fact is that we devoted half of our conscious life to organizing various events. At different periods of our lives, we worked together and individually in the “
Business in the .RU style ” club, the
business incubator of the Higher School of Economics , the parliamentary debate club and other organizations. We organized the
first meeting with the creators of Habrahabr , meetings of the Russian PostgresSQL user community, the first TED-style conference in Russia -
TEDxMoscow and many others. That is why we know firsthand what it is to hold events for hundreds of participants, and we also know all the difficulties and bottlenecks that arise in the process of their preparation.
Riw
As I said at the beginning, we will be presenting our project at the
RIW at the Innovation Alley (where we have the honorary stand G-1). Come to us - we will be glad to see everyone, treat you with delicious green tea and talk about our service and other interesting things.
And in order not to be bored, we plan to dilute the business program of RIVA with several small entertainment events (games, flash mobs, competitions), for the organization of which, of course, we will use TimePad.
Briefly about these events can be found
here . And to find out all the details before anyone else - register
