Doctor Web has released the first beta version of Dr.Web anti-virus for Symbian

Doctor Web has announced the start of beta testing of Dr.Web anti-virus for Symbian. Based on Dr.Web anti-virus scanner, this application protects mobile devices running the Symbian operating system from viruses and spam.
Dr.Web for Symbian can either perform a full anti-virus file system scan, or “examine” files and folders specified by the user (including on removable memory cards). With dangerous objects detected, the conversation is short - deletion or quarantine. At the end of its work, the program provides the user with a detailed report.
One of the most important features of Dr.Web for Symbian is the ability to create black and white lists, on the basis of which SMS messages and calls are filtered. Thus, you can not only protect yourself from unwanted contacts, but also protect yourself from fraud - in particular, never again receive SMS from supposedly familiar people with a request to put money on the phone.

Anyone with a Symbian operating system who provided the Doctor Web developers with an IMEI ID can take part in the Dr.Web for Symbian beta testing. The identifier allows you to provide the program with a signature that guarantees the legitimacy of the use of antivirus on this particular smartphone. Without this signature, the program is simply not installed. You can get IMEI by typing * # 06 #. The distribution of the application will be rebuilt weekly - taking into account the new IMEI from those who want to test Dr.Web for Symbian.
