Looking at the gray ripples of the urban reservoir and the frozen lonely figures of fishermen with empty buckets, you usually involuntarily think about it - is there any fish there? A wonderful project from the Kolubiyskiy College of Architecture proposes to establish interaction between underwater animals and people.



The creators of the project deliberately deviate from the generally accepted concept of not disturbing the inhabitants of nature and, on the contrary, want to engage in the interaction the urban architecture of New York, its inhabitants-people and residents of the underwater world.

On the rivers East and Bronx, there are arrays of floats, in which microprocessor devices are located, measuring the level of oxygen, and indicating by means of LEDs two light signals:

• the presence of fish in the river, which is determined using sonars
• people's interest in fish, which is determined by the number of SMS messages currently being sent

Yes, that's right - people can send text messages to short code 41411 (for US subscribers) to “fish”, in response to which a message will be sent about the current oxygen content in the river and the number of inhabitants of the aquatic world noticed recently.
