Starting with the next version (9.0), IntelliJ IDEA will be released in two versions: Community Edition and Ultimate Edition. In the free version released under the Apache 2.0 license, there will be full support for Java SE, Groovy and Scala, while support for Java EE and related technologies will remain the prerogative of the commercial version.
