A building that produces more electricity than it consumes
In France, an energy-efficient office building was built Elithis Tower, which completely provides itself with energy. On the roof of the 10-storey office center, there are 330 solar panels installed, generating electricity in a volume sufficient for lighting, heating and air conditioning of 54,000 m² of office space. The screen in front skips natural light, protecting it from excessive heat and blinding light. The building has a screen that shows the heat consumption throughout the building. The cost of construction was $ 10 million, which is comparable to the construction of a conventional office building.
