Dragon Age Character Generator
On the eve of the release of the new RPG-project Bioware, which with a light hand from both the developer and the publisher (and this is Electronic Arts) is called the old school and the “new level” at the same time, the Canadians shared their fans with the characters to be released. We download 250 megabytes from the official website and an hour and a half digging time in the origins, classes and perks, as well as dragging the sliders in the character face generator.
I, as an old CRPG fan from Bioware, with the unforgettable Baldurs' Gate, was not too lazy to spend the above hour. Impressions are sharply positive. This concerns the design of the main menu, the appearance of chips definitely expected by players, the potential diversity in character development and, importantly, localization.
A pair of the most memorable stuff. For example, the character's icon fully matches the generated face, and a list of ten expressions is available for this mini face. Speaking heads are convincing.
Further, I will note a simplified system, which, although similar to the Dungeons & Dragons, but unlike its adaptation in previous games, will cause a casual trouser to have much less misunderstanding and questions. However, in some previews, the system is still called complex. As for me, this is only a plus.

Finally, localization. With the exception of some flaws in the style, everything is at a high level, not always characteristic of domestic publishers. But here you need to make a discount that the text is not so much and it is quite simple. It may well be that the dialogues will come out of the pen localizers are not ideal. Let's hope for the best, as in the licensed version there will be only one language - Russian, and it will not work to choose the original. The voice acting is still questionable: a couple of calls when choosing a character’s “voice” are hardly worth taking into account.
As a result, the sensations, I repeat, are positive. In early November, I will definitely spend a couple of evenings on the game itself.
