We expect Wordpress 2.9 Beta

According to the official Wordpress blog , at the end of October we can expect the release of the first beta 2.9, and the release itself is scheduled for the end of November, the beginning of December of the current year.

The developers set their task in the new release not to introduce new features, but to fix existing errors and the overall “stabilization” of WordPress as a system as a whole.

Also, developers are asked to help us in this not simple business of us, ordinary Wordpress users. Specifically, in order to simplify the testing process, the developers have released a plugin that easily allows us to connect to the branch of the packages being developed and receive daily builds in the normal WordPress update mode.

Developers strongly do not recommend transferring their working blogs to developer versions - it is risky. In any case, backup all data before proceeding :)
