Acer plans to launch a netbook with two operating systems this quarter — Microsoft’s Windows and Google’s Android companies. Then, representatives of Acer announced that netbook shipments will begin in the third quarter. However, the forecasts did not come true even after two weeks from the beginning of the fourth quarter. The netbooks presented at the exhibition worked on the Android OS and Windows, but the company’s plans at that time were to deliver the machines with two Linux-based operating systems to the mass market. As you can see, the plans have changed somewhat, and at least on some of the machines will be installed Windows. Android - an operating system based on Linux, developed by Google specifically for smartphones. Several models of Android smartphones are already on the market. Currently, developers are creating a version of this OS for PC.
