From November 17 in the UK (for starters), Xbox 360 owners will be able to join the online goodies in the form of social networks Facebook and Twitter. And literally thereafter, Last.fm and the Skyplayer television service will break through on the console.
The functionality of the services will remain unchanged, except that the owners of the Xbox Live Gold account can get access to a number of exclusive features, such as the ability to invite friends to play on the network and upload screenshots (Facebook) and a demonstration in the Xbox-avatar microblog (Twitter). The Skyplayer player will provide access to the film library and live broadcasts, and the last.fm, in a stripped-down view, will only allow you to listen to the online radio without scrobbling.
While the adaptation of services for the Xbox 360 will occur only in the UK. It seems that this “probe” will show whether it is worth continuing to work in this direction.
