Microwave brazing

In the last post about soldering, someone gave a hint about the fact that small microcircuits should be soldered with microwaves. Well, there is such a word in this letter - here's a microwave :)

But the same thing, but in close-up.

How it works:
The effect is achieved due to surface tension forces. The concave surface of the tip does not release the solder, pulling it into itself, but between the output of the part and the pad, the gap is even smaller and the radii of curvature are microscopic, which means the surface tension is higher there - the solder remains there, but from the rest of the cracks it takes out the sting. As a result - clean and beautiful soldering with one movement.
')
The sting itself is not a complicated microwave, in fact, everything is visible on the video, there are no secrets - this is a flat sting with a groove. Installed at the soldering station. The sting is not cheap, about 2yr, EMNIP, and the station itself which has such a sting in its arsenal costs from 8-10tyr.

But I got sly - I bought the usual flat sting for my ZD-929 station, it cost me about 50 rubles, and I made a recess in it with a diameter of 2mm and a depth of about a millimeter in it. Yes, I rounded off the edge a little with a file so as not to cling to the conclusions.

Station ZD-929 is also from the budget, not more expensive than 3yr. Also, many soldering irons from ZD Firm work with such stings (the average price of such a solder is 300-500 rubles).

Works for five minutes, the price is cheap, and the result is obvious :)

Yes, I broke the fireproof layer and for a long time this sting will not last, with modern brutal fluxes it will devour in less than a hundred rations.
But! The new one costs only 50 rubles and 5 minutes of time, and I don’t solder it from morning to evening. So for a family home is the thing.

In more detail, the technology of making the sting I have long described with my blog .

If anyone is interested in what kind of green scarves I solder one after another, this is not the first post? And this is my PinBoard debugging handkerchief to facilitate learning AVR microcontrollers.
