Not so long ago I found a
site on the network
gallery with pictures and panoramas made from a kite. And then
another . And
one more ...
In general, I was eager to buy the necessary equipment and try to remove myself. The system consists of a snake (requires a special snake, providing significant and stable traction - I chose FlowForm), a robot suspension with 3 servomotors (horizontal, vertical, and camera release), a control microcontroller, and, finally, a camera. However, it quickly became clear that this hobby is widespread mainly in the US, it is not very cheap and, most importantly, almost all online stores sell their goods only in the US (Canada - for very extra money ...) Those who are all still trades in Europe, very much utter prices break up. Those. the numbers are the same as in the USA, but ... not dollars, but euros!
However, as a rule, not a complete system is sold (a finished one costs 2-3 thousand green presidents not including a camera and a snake), but a set of parts. This prompted me to buy only the most necessary things, and do the rest myself, with the children. Fortunately, hands grow from where it is necessary, and there is considerable experience in electronics and programming.
State of affairs for today:
- serpent - selected, ordered, paid for, sewn, forwarded across several borders and received;
- construction - at the level of draft design;
- microcontroller - selected (Arduino clone), ordered, paid for and received;
- servomotors - 2 types. Selected, ordered, paid for and one type has already been received;
- materials and hardware - in the process of searching and buying;
- the camera is a compact digital not expensive “soap box”, specific requirements are still being formulated;
- power supply - it is clear that the batteries, the type has not yet chosen, looking for a compromise between weight, capacity and expediency;
- ...
And now attention to the question: Who else besides me is interesting? One article at the end (I plan to finish by March) with a brief description and the first panorama shot? Or a few detailed, with explanations and photos?
Thanks for answers.
UPD. few comments, but +10 in stock. So I will prepare the first article. “Making KAP (Kite aerial photography): 1. Choosing a type of a kite and a draft design of a robot - camera pendants”
