In England, a system is being introduced to ensure public safety on the streets. England and now the world champion in the number of outdoor surveillance cameras (1 camera for 14 people, only 4.2 million). But it is clear that the police do not have enough power to keep track of all the cameras, and the available software does not cope. Now, for outdoor surveillance cameras, the effectiveness is as follows: for 1000 cameras, there is one open crime.

We decided to make it simple: all materials from outdoor surveillance cameras are displayed online. Those wishing to register and get access to the materials from the cameras. Owners of establishments that have cameras (gas stations, shops, etc.) pay £ 20 for the materials from their cameras to be published online. The observers on the monitor will have an image from 4 cameras, when you click on the “red button”, an SMS with a screenshot will be sent to the owner of the camera. For clicking on the "red button" (if the alarm was with a real reason) clicking the participant gets 3 points. If the alarm was false - 1 point. If the alarm was raised deliberately false - minus 1 point. How the company is going to distinguish a false alarm by mistake or with malicious intent - does not say. But the winner is soc. competition at the end of the month gets 1000 pounds. Earned.

The system was launched by Internet Eyes in November, in the hometown of Shakespeare Stratford-upon-Avon.

UPD : There is information about how the company is going to deal with abuse: Each registered user can, according to the standard, press the “red button” only 3 times a month. Each next press costs 1 pound. On the one hand, this method should be effective, actively preventing false alarms, on the other hand, given that the user with the most points receives 1000 pounds a month, this method looks like a hard monetization.
