In June of this year, residents of Ufa received free access to the Yota Internet 4G service, which worked for three months in test mode. The Yota Champions, the first Yota users in the city, helped 4G-Internet to work. In July, the sale of a variety of network access devices began - modems, laptops, phones, routers. To date, the network coverage area includes the main territory of the city, the testing period is over and commercial operation of 4G Internet in Ufa begins.
During the first month of test operation in Ufa, 5,000 residents of the city connected to Yota, and today there are already 13,000 Yota customers in the capital of Bashkortostan, and 200 new ones are connected daily.
As the statistics show, the total incoming traffic in Ufa was 210.89 TB for the past month, and the average consumed traffic per user is more than 68 GB. Record consumption in the city set one subscriber, who in September, downloaded 1.2 TB.
Ufa becomes the third city in which the Yota 4G network has been launched into commercial operation. Moscow and St. Petersburg have been working in this mode since June 1. For 2.5 months, the number of active users of the service has reached a level of 100,000, now there are already more than 150,000. In all cities included in the Yota coverage zone, there are unlimited unlimited tariffs. A subscriber connected to the network in any of these regions can use Internet access and other Yota services in any city in the coverage area without roaming charges. In Moscow and St. Petersburg, the network has already gone beyond the city: Yota coverage appeared at airports, major regional settlements, along highways. It is preparing to launch the network into test operation in two more cities - Sochi and Krasnodar.
