It is to the passive form of consumption of information and television. Television performs its main function - to give the masses professional and not very video spectacles in an organized and industrial manner. What is happening now?

Passive consumers of information is becoming less. A clear direction of development is clearly seen: each person has his own media planning, his own playlist + his recommendation lists according to his tastes (see Lastfm, Imonet, and other recommendatory services).

There is a transition from the media plan, descending "from above", from a hard-coded "playlist" to "playlists" created by one's own hand in advance, or automatically generated by the algorithm of a recommender service (according to taste preferences, thematic, emotional).

The policy of state media planning is also changing. If earlier it was necessary to shoot the necessary programs, now it is enough to filter unnecessary ones and increase the search engine rating for the recommended by the state. The necessary censorship will be exercised by the person himself, being lazy to look at sickle pages on the page and pressing the button “I'm lucky!”. Anyway, hell, he will find that unnecessary in the "digital garbage" of the Internet.
