For the first time since January 2008, the market share of Windows Vista has decreased,
according to Net Applications.
In September 2009, the share of Vista decreased by 0.18 percentage points, and now this OS occupies 18.6% of the market. Of course, the decline is purely symbolic, but the fact is important: the first time it happened. Apparently, the world has already begun to gradually migrate to Windows 7, whose share in September increased by almost a third to 1.52%. That is, the new system is already installed on 1 of 66 computers in the world.
Since the migration process has begun, the share of "Vista", most likely, will no longer grow. In this case, we get an unprecedented situation: in the two years of its existence, the Microsoft operating system could not get even 19% of the market!

At the same time, the popularity of the Internet Explorer browser was noted to drop by 1.26 points to 65.7%, which is already a serious loss for Microsoft.
At the same time, in September the market shares of Firefox and Chrome increased to 23.75% (+0.77) and 4.24% (+0.33), respectively.
