Snapshots in Citrix XenServer. Sailed

As we know, XenServer 5.5 was released not so long ago, one of the killing-features of which was snapshots. All rejoiced - hooray, finally we can make backups of virtual machines without breaking their stops.
I was happy too. Upgraded I wrote a script that creates snapshots of all VMs and exports them to a remote server. I put it in the crown and it all worked. For a while…

And then one day I saw that everything broke. Backups do not work - a new snapshot cannot be created due to lack of space in the local storage.
Began to understand and stumbled upon forums.citrix.com/thread.jspa?messageID=1409941
I haven’t seen a more epic thread for a long time - a crowd of people ask Citrix employees - men, but where did the place go? To which they are calmly answered - his cellar zokhaval. Well, the snapshots work in such a way that they consume the tripled (!) Size of the virtual disk. And this is not a bug, this is a feature. Do not worry.
A number of speakers clarify that even this is not true - the place decreases in any case with each created and deleted snapshot. Others ask what they do now by spending $ 15k on an array of disks and a few more thousand on the XenServer license? Still others shyly specify how to return the place (so far to no avail).
Maybe there will be someone to solve this problem?

ps Altenative title for the topic "I resent - Citrix - kidalovo!"
