Apple began negotiations with the company Eneco, which developed a chip that converts heat into electricity, and if it is energized, it can serve as a refrigerant.
The chip is based on the theory of thermal conversion of energy, according to which electrons can move from a hot metal plate to a colder one, thus generating electricity. According to Eneco, the energy density in the chip will be five times better than in modern lithium-ion batteries.
Use in portable electronics is very promising, it can be both a battery and a cooling mechanism.
