France Telecom employees continue suicide

Sometimes people decide to settle accounts with life, this happens. But if over the past year and a half, 24 employees of your company committed suicide, this is too much. This misfortune happened to the French telecommunications operator France Telecom, reports France-Press agency.



Another death occurred this Monday: a 51-year-old father of two children jumped from a bridge onto a busy highway during a morning jog. At home, he left a note where he accused France Telecom of creating stressful working conditions.



France Telecom is the state monopolist in the French telecommunications market, the third largest telecommunications company in Europe and a major cellular operator (Orange brand). With a total number of employees of 191,000, the staff of the French division is about 100,000 employees. It turns out that the “natural” percentage of suicides at the company is even lower than the national average (17.6 people per 100,000 inhabitants per year), but some victims leave notes with direct accusations of the company or settle accounts with life in the workplace. that the problem really exists.
