They will be engaged in the detection, analysis and investigation of cyber attacks.

This decision was made after a series of serious hacks of state-owned American websites and local networks that have occurred in recent months. They say that the Chinese are behind this. It has been rumored for a long time that certain "hacker groups" have been formed in China and have begun work. Thus, the US is forced to take a reciprocal step for war in the virtual space.
