Mark Pilgrim started writing a new book in the
Dive into series, which already includes such freely available books as
Dive Into Python ,
Dive Into Python 3 ,
Dive Into Greasemonkey ,
Dive Into Accessibility and maybe some more (dude productive).
Back in September last year, under the name
Dive into HTML5 , the publication of
This Week in HTML5 notes for the WHATWG blog began.
Now Mark began to design everything in the form of a full-fledged
book . At the moment there are 2 chapters in which it is told about how to determine the HTML5 features available in the browser, as well as a chapter on working with the canvas element.

Mark is a 36 year old programmer, writer, blogger. He is committed to the idea of free software, all his books are distributed under the
GNU Free Documentation License , but this does not prevent him from cooperating with O'Reilly, which publishes his books in paper form. Since 2007 he has been working at Google, and before that he worked for IBM.
