As
promised , Google is expanding the
Google Wave beta program to 100,000 people. One of the authors of the system, Lars Rasmussen,
said that today the company will send invitations to developers, individual testers and some corporate Google Apps users who have expressed a desire to look at Google Wave in action. The lack of willing is not observed. Over a million people have already signed up for beta testing.
As you know, Google Wave is a real-time web-based communication application that combines elements of chat, wiki, blogs, and photo sharing sites. See reviews and discussion on Habré (

According to some experts, Google Wave can completely change the usual ways of communication via the Internet, eliminating the need for such archaic technologies as email, IM and RSS. The Rasmussen brothers themselves recorded a
video for 1 hour and 20 minutes , where they are trying to explain the principles of the operation of Google Wave.
Google Wave was first demonstrated at the Google I / O conference in May 2009. Access to the program received only selected beta testers, the closest to the company. Now the number of beta testers will expand significantly. The first fully public release is expected at the end of the year.

It is known that large business software developers, such as SAP and Salesforce.com, have already
begun developing extensions for Google Wave, so this innovative technology has every chance in the future to become a corporate standard.
