In the published Draft Law, it is proposed to change, besides the Criminal Code, also the Administrative Code on Administrative Offenses and Federal Law No. 149- dated July 27, 2006 “On Information, Information Technologies and Information Protection” and introduce some interesting things that are somehow overlooked.

And finally:

Article 15-2 The rules for registering domain names in the national domains of the Russian Federation are coordinated with the federal executive body in the field of communications and the federal executive body authorized in the field of security, and must contain a procedure for confirming data on persons registering domain names and persons on which domain names are registered to identify these persons, as well as the procedure for canceling the registration of domain names in cases of violations of the law P Russian Federation

Formally, both the provider or hoster, and the site owner are obliged to provide data on any of the subscribers on demand or even to suspend his work (by letter). Otherwise they violate the law and, as a measure of influence, they may in turn suspend work or cancel the registration of a domain name.

I am not paranoid, I do not think that freedom should be absolute, but these opportunities give too many legitimate but uncontrollable rights and methods of influence and provoke abuse. If some do not disdain to buy DDOS for a competitor, then what will stop from the FSB-shnogo "raid"?

Yet any changes should be by the court IMHO. Who will prevent cover the online store "for a while" on suspicion of money laundering or drug trafficking?
