The process of developing a new interface standard for connecting mobile phones to high-definition displays has begun. For the project are responsible specialists from Nokia, Samsung Electronics, Silicon Image, Sony and Toshiba. They called the whole thing Mobile High-Definition Interface Working Group.
The goal of the project is to create a standard interface that will allow connecting a mobile device to HD TVs and monitors. One of the conditions - the ability to transfer pictures of quality 1080p and audio, as well as simultaneous charging of the gadget.
It is based on Silicon Image technology called Mobile High-Definition Link, which is designed to exchange data between portable consumer devices and HD TVs.

And what, camera-soapbox, writing video in Full-HD, is already common. So it’s not long before the general use of cameras of this level in the phones. So, the mentioned work on creating the interface is timely. So far there is no information on the timing of implementation, or on the specification. Nevertheless, the participants in the "conspiracy" are heavyweights, so that they can easily succeed.
