Intel will offer new dual-core for ultra-thin notebooks
According to information from The Digitimes, Intel plans to upgrade the platform for ultra-thin laptops before the end of this year.
The list of processors within this platform will be supplemented with several new dual-core chips. The Core 2 Solo SU3000 will be “replaced” with the Core 2 Duo SU7000, and in place of the Pentium SU2000 in the CULV series will be the Core 2 Duo SU4000. Chips with one core generally go into oblivion. They will be replaced by dual-core Celeron SU3000. However, according to the manufacturer, the Celeron 700 will still be used in budget laptops.
It also became known that Intel is going to release a new platform for netbooks - Pine Trail-M. ')
The release of laptops using the new hardware has already been announced by Samsung and Dell. As for Pine Trail-M, the first devices based on this platform should, in theory, appear in the first quarter of 2010.
