Recently on Habré there was a post “Home server for a web developer: setting up Ubuntu 9.04” in which the topic of creating an installation flash drive was touched. And everything seems to be fine, but I had one problem, the computer did not boot from the flash drive.
Nevertheless, I very much wanted a flash drive with a ubuntu distribution, and therefore I tried several different ways, and not one of them did not suit me.
After several hours of googling, a solution was found. In each of the described how-tos it was said to format the USB flash drive in FAT32, which caused the problem. The solution was formatting in FAT.
