Point of View has unveiled its first netbook based on the NVIDIA ION chipset - the Mobii ION 230. The new product combines an energy-efficient Atom 230 processor and NVIDIA ION graphics to create a small and economical notebook with great potential.
The NVIDIA ION graphics chip with DirectX 10 support provides a 10.2-inch LCD display with LED backlighting and a resolution of 1024x600. The system is equipped with 1 gigabyte DDR2 RAM and 160 GB hard disk. Multimedia features such as an SD / MMC card reader, Wireless-G wireless network controller, a 1.3 megapixel webcam and, optionally, Bluetooth V2.0, make the Mobii ION 230 a highly versatile computer. Inputs / outputs include a 10/100/1000 megabit LAN connector, audio inputs and outputs, two USB 2.0 ports. Last but not least, the 6-cell 4400 mAh battery can power Mobii for 4 hours. ')
The new Mobii will be available in black, red and lemon colors in a few weeks. Available operating systems - Linux, Windows XP, Windows Vista and a little closer to the end of this year - Windows 7.
