September 26, 2009 one of the main Russian Internet companies celebrates the thirteenth birthday . We congratulate all those who use the Rambler and create it all these years. We thank the people who stood at the origins and made a contribution to the creation and development of our company.

Shortly before the birthday, the company changed its place of residence. Now the office of "Rambler" is located on the third floor of the new business center Omega Plaza at the address: Leninskaya Sloboda Street - 19.
The new building is located directly across the street from the old one, so that neither the staff nor the guests will have any problems finding the Rambler in the new house.
In the new office, we all work in the same space, and this facilitates communication and creates a favorable atmosphere in order to share with each other creative ideas, which the company's employees always have plenty of.
E-mails of employees remained the same, but for communication over the phone you need to use the new number - 8 (495) 989-29-09.
A bit of history
1996 is a key year for the development of Russian cyberspace. This year Sergey Lysakov and Dmitry Kryukov decide to develop the first Russian search engine for the Internet. The Stack team has tentatively staked on the search engine. It was an important, responsible and, at first glance, unreasonable decision, because at that time the Russian segment of the Network was very small - no more than 30-50 sites.
Programmer Dmitry Kryukov began with the fact that the project came up with the name. For this, he opened the English-Russian dictionary, and his eyes fell on the Rambler. Dmitry liked the meaning of the word “wanderer, wanderer, vagabond”: the search engine robots really go around the sites, gathering information around the clock, not knowing the rest. A few months later, by the autumn of 1996, the final version of the search engine was ready. On September 26, the rambler.ru domain was registered, and on October 8, the Stack activated the system.
