Intel will support Silverlight on the Moblin platform

The other day, September 22, Intel announced that it is developing a new platform for developing and distributing applications for the Atom Developer Platform netbook. Among other things, it was stated that this platform will support the development of Silverlight applications.

According to eweek.com , at the ongoing Intel Developer Forum event, Intel announced that in early 2010 Moblin, based on Linux, will officially support Silverlight 3.

During the opening of the conference, Intel vice president and the leader of the Software and Services Group, Renee James and Ian Allison-Taylor, head of Client Platforms and Tools at Microsoft, announced their cooperation. As a demonstration, IIS video Smooth Streaming was shown equally working through Silverlight on both Windows and Moblin.
