Somehow imperceptibly (although to whom like) the fourth beta of the post of Thunderbird 3.0 came out yesterday.
The main innovations are:
• Improved search with advanced filtering tools.
')
Advanced filtering tools are now added to the search results window. Now you can filter the search results by sender, label, attachments, contacts, folder and distribution list. You can also filter your mail using the timeline.
• Redesigned mail toolbar and global search field
The mail toolbar is redone and includes a global search bar. Buttons such as Reply, Forward, Delete, Spam are now part of the display window for each message. When you type a query in the Global Search field, Thunderbird auto-completes the query from your address book. You can search everywhere or make a request based on various parameters of the letter, such as subject or sender.
• New Account Setup Wizard
The new account setup wizard queries the database of mail server settings of popular email providers, so all you have to do is enter your name, email address and password to set up a new email account.
• Smart folders
The smart folders mode has been added to the folder pane, in which special mailboxes (for example, Inbox) from different accounts are displayed in the folder pane together. The smart folder mode is now enabled by default.
