Tune.ru - plunge into the world of music!

Firstly, with this post I want to promote a new musical social network Tune.ru , and, secondly, to begin a cycle of publications about its creation.

What is Tune.ru?

Tune.ru is a music social network for musicians, producers and all music lovers. For the latter, the site has a constantly growing music library, including:

• a lot, a lot, just a very, very, a lot of music;
• clips;
• music news;
• photos and biographies of artists;
• and many many others!

You can walk around the site and the music will not be interrupted. You can also drag music (tracks, albums, playlists) from the site pages to the drag & drop player. Yes, yes, we made perhaps the most convenient online music player in RuNet :)
In addition, Tune.ru is also a social network. Sign up, look for music friends, chat, share your impressions, collect music in play lists and add it to your blogs!

And then what Tune.ru will be useful to musicians?

Musicians, especially young and unknown, Tune.ru will be useful as an excellent platform for self-promotion.
Musicians, and indeed all users, can upload music to the site. All music falls into a single directory. Consequently, the tracks of young and unknown musicians will be listened to by the site visitors as well as the compositions of famous artists. Especially this will contribute to the mechanism of automatic selection of tracks based on the statistics of listening to music. And, if a person likes a previously unknown track, he will most likely want to find out about his author and get on the profile of a young musician.
As they say, 1) uploaded their tracks 2) ... 3) Profit! Only here, in contrast to the well-known cartoon, the second step is well known :)

But what about the producers? :)

And the producers, too, will not remain deprived. They will be able to look for new stars among young musicians registered on the site and lead them to the top of glory!

On this optimistic note, I will finish the first publication on Tune.ru and offer a sample list of topics for the following. Write in the comments about what it will be more interesting for you to hear:

• music catalog organization: ratings, browsing mechanisms, filling algorithms, auto selection and music search;
• site architecture and mechanisms to support high load;
• promotion of young musicians;
• or maybe something else?
