3 Things That Annoy Me in American Style Letters
Words can’t convey how annoying the American writing style is. On Habrahabr such articles appear regularly. All these "15 tips for ...", "23 reasons to switch to ...", "42 ways to do ...". What's bad about it?
1. Incoherence.
The use of such a format of articles demonstrates the inability of the author to link their thoughts. He has to arrange everything point by point and give every thought a heading so that they do not intertwine in a heap.

2. Lack of fascination.
When a coherent text, not broken down by points, from the first lines attracts the reader, he throws everything and reads it to the end, and carefully. In this regard, a good example (unfortunately) are long sales letters or some landing pages, written in the same way as sales letters.
I just read the article “20 Important Things” about something there, being distracted by other things and jumping over points, and I only looked through the second part of the text by headings. The reader of the next "37 tips on ..." will read a considerable part of the text inattentively or even skip it altogether.

Such articles are usually. are translated from English by non-professionals, and therefore suffer from poor translation quality. And the author’s desire for round numbers (“10 things ...”, “20 reasons ...”) forces him to add unnecessary items sucked from his finger.
