Color barcode from Microsoft

Microsoft experts decided to remake the old and familiar bar code. Now it will be colored and in the form of triangles!

In their opinion, with the help of a color barcode, it will be possible to store additional information, at least so says Gavin Jancke, the creator of color barcode.

This invention has received the name "High Capacity Color Bar Code" and in the next year it can be seen on some Microsoft products.

As usual, this technology has many drawbacks, and one of the main drawbacks is the lack of special reading devices. So, Microsoft will have to simultaneously replace all devices for reading barcodes :) In addition, printing such barcodes is more expensive and more fragile.
