A formula editor appeared in Google Docs.
A formula editor has been added to Google Docs , previously available only in Knol . This is the basic LaTeX editor, which is far from simple if you are not familiar with LaTeX or programming.
Open a document in Google Docs, click on “Insert” and select “Equation” from the menu: you can now write LaTeX code or use the drop-down menu to select characters of the Greek alphabet and various operators (sum, integrals).

Google converts the written formula into an image using the undocumented Google Chart API feature. If you export a document to Microsoft Word format, the formula will look like an image.
