Google buys reCAPTCHA

The well-known and popular reCAPTCHA project combines a captcha generation service and recognition of text elements that cannot be determined electronically for digitizing materials from various sources. The service offered free implementation of captcha for sites on the Internet, and users, introducing such captcha, helped the good business of digitizing old materials.

Now the service is purchased by Google. Obviously, the service will be used by the company to support their own project of digitizing a variety of text materials.
