After installing
Windows 7, RTM began to encounter the fact that after I send it to
sleep (hibernate) for the night, I see it woke up in the morning. I have overcome this problem in a few steps. In general, this guide applies not only to Windows 7, but may also apply to other versions of Windows.
The first two stages, I think, are familiar to everyone.
Stage 1 . It is necessary to check the settings in the BIOS, like
Wake-on-LAN , as there are parameters included - wake up from the mouse and from the keyboard, I recommend these functions also be disabled.
Stage 2 . In the Device Manager, we find devices like
Mouse ,
Keyboard ,
Network adapters and remove the possibility to wake the computer to these devices (Allow this device to wake up the computer).
')
Stage 3 . The very last stage, if the last two did not help to the end, is that you need to check the tasks in the
Windows Schedule (Task Manager). In general, if the computer woke up due to a task, then
Windows Events will be recorded about it, here’s my option:

As you can see, the task of updating the TV program in
Windows Media Center is to blame for this (in truth, what task is needed, it will not wait until morning). To disable it, run the
Task Schedule , find the necessary task, open it for editing, go to the
Conditions tab, find and disable the checkbox for
this task . You can immediately check other tasks.

This is all the known reasons why Windows can wake up when you do not want it.
UPDATE: Good people (knocked on ICQ XelNAG and the user
paradigm ) suggested that the third stage can be simplified by going into editing the power plan parameters (advanced parameters) and there in the Sleep parameters, uncheck
allow wake timers . This option is not quite suitable for me, since I want some tasks to wake up the computer, such as recording with a TV tuner.
