quite often skip articles that mention files plist. At the same time, no one considers it necessary to explain what these files are.
I had to google myself :)
The plist (Property List) file is an XML application settings file with the .plist extension. This format is good in that it is readable, fast to process, and for developers on Mac OS there are ready-made tools for working with it.
Many plist files with application settings are in Home> Library> Preferences (for example, com.apple.finder.plist, com.skype.skype.plist). The file name consists of 4 parts: com. company.plist application.
That seems to be all. I would be glad if someone complements or corrects.
